Forklift Licence Testing: Forklift Check List Hazards

Forklift Licence Testing: Forklift Check List Hazards

Forklift Check List Hazards

Forklift Hazards Check
Unit 2 Pre-Check Inspection of LF Forklift Practical Test

When asked to do your hazards check there are many ways you can do this, workcover in its Assessment Instrument have seventeen defined answers you will need to get twelve or more of these to move to the next section of the pre-operational checks, which requires you to  perform a safety inspection of the forklifts controls.

When doing your hazards inspection which may I add is a very important function not just for the forklift testing element but for everyday use in any workplace this is what I like to refer to as the forklift drivers risk assessment for the area in which he / she will be operating very very important if your position is one of (casual or labour hire) because you will be moving from job to job and every place of work is different.
  1. power lines
  2. overhead service lines
  3. railway lines
I call these the three lines next
  1. surrounding buildings
  2. bridges
I call these the two B's
  1. correct clothing PPE
  2. correct forklift
  3. correct attachments
I call these the three C's
  1. height of doorways
  2. obstructions (pallets in driving path bollards workstations etc)
  3. look out for pedestrians
  4. warn pedestrians
  5. other machinery (forklifts orderpickers walk behind pallet jacks etc)
  6. hazardous materials (chemicals corrosives fluro carbons etc)
  7. spills small clean up
  8. spills large barricade, barrier off inform supervisor
  9. hazards unique to your workplace (low hanging lights water systems workstations bollards etc)
As you can see if you learn the three lines two b's three c's that gives you eight that will be in any training centre of company onsite that you are sitting for your forklift test in and the rest will be surrounding you in one form or another hope this helps for more info check out our site click

Forklift Test Questions

Forklift Licencing

To pass your forklift licence theory test you need to pass three units in the theory element they consist of 97 questions broken up into two styles of questions thirty star questions which are labeled critical. Any wrong out of any of these star critical questions will have you returning for a retest they are instant fail. Following the thirty critical star questions you will be asked the second style of questions these are called box questions there are 67 in total, you will be asked twenty two of these which are randomly picked by the work cover assessor when you are sitting for your forklift licence test. (you do not get to choose your twenty two box questions). A urban myth that seems to shadow a lot of Forklift trainers working through forklift training centres is that a lot of people attending this course believe the forklift theory test is like the RTA car licence test, and is multiple choice this just isn't so the LF Forklift Licence Test is 52 questions, thirty star critical questions plus twenty two box questions which have some very expansive answers. You can sit the theory exam in two ways written or a verbal (verbal is where the work cover assessor asks you the questions you answer them he writes them down.) So before applying to sit for your forklift licence test it is highly recommended that you at least study this theory element at least a week before starting your course with a Registered Training Organisation like Absolute Forklift Training who delivers forklift training and assessing.
